
This Director is a visionary and collaborative, experienced executive, responsible for overseeing a small team producing and distributing multiple media products, including the 4-color quarterly print magazine Glenmary Challenge (50k subscribers) and El Reto Glenmary; daily (5k, English and Spanish) and monthly (10k) e-mail products; extensive and growing social media and web site, as well as multiple brochures, reports, announcements and other print products for various departments within the organization, mostly in English; sometimes in Spanish.
The Communications / Marketing Director is also responsible for leading various marketing efforts and media exposure.
The Director supervises three remote and local workers (including a Spanish language manager), as well as the work of numerous contractors and vendors.

Glenmary Challenge comes from the Communications and Marketing Dept. of Glenmary Home Missioners, a Roman Catholic missionary society of priests and brothers who partner with lay and religious collaborators to establish a permanent Catholic presence in areas of Appalachia and Deep South where there has been none. Our mission areas are statistically high both in unchurched and low-income population.
