The Diocese of Joliet in Illinois serves approximately 500,000 Catholics in 111 parishes and missions, as well as two early childhood education centers, 35 elementary schools, one junior and senior high school, two high schools and Catholic Charities. In addition, there are two independent elementary schools and five independent high schools within the Diocese of Joliet. Led by Bishop Brendan J. Cahill, the diocese has more than 2,700 employees in its agencies and ministries.
